This seminar will define the duties and obligations of hospitals and the corporate negligence that results when those obligations are breached.  We will cover the medical credential process, duties of Hospital trustees, and the emerging trends in monitoring hospital quality performance.

About Your Speaker

Bob Ruch holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Iowa and a Bachelors in Economics and Math from Monmouth College. He is board certified in Healthcare Administration, and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mr. Ruch has been active professionally in the healthcare field for over 40 years on a full-time basis. He has held senior executive positions in major medical centers including Milwaukee Children’s Hospital, Akron Children’s Hospital in Akron, Ohio and Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Mr. Ruch has served on numerous healthcare governing boards and currently is president of the Board of WesleyLife; a statewide resource provider to seniors. He is the author of numerous peer reviewed articles on Strategic Planning, Leadership, and Medical Errors among American hospitals. Mr. Ruch served as a medical ambassador to the Country of Zimbabwe. He has also served as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Graduate Program of Healthcare Management at Des Moines University. His consulting firm, Ruch Enterprises Inc., was formed in 1993 where he serves as President and Project Manager.
