About Your Speaker

Rich Jamieson Describes himself as:  A Wyoming native, born in Kemmerer and raised in Big Piney, Wyoming. I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance. While at the University of Wyoming, I served on the Senate for the Associated Students of the University of Wyoming (ASUW) and was later elected Vice President and President. As President I served as an ex-officio member to the UW Board of Trustees and was a member of most major University committees. After finishing my undergraduate work, I was a Legislative Correspondent in Washington, D.C. for United States Senator Alan Simpson.  I began law school at the University of Wyoming in 1989. While in law school I worked for the Defender Aid Program, served a one-semester externship for Justice Richard Macy of the Wyoming Supreme Court, won the Rothergerber Trial Competition, and served as UW’s representative at the National Trial Court Competition.  After law school my first employment was as law clerk for Judges Harry Leimback and Dan Spangler. I then served two years as a State Public Defender in Casper. In 1996 I hung out my own shingle, eventually joining forces with John H. Robinson. We became partners in 1998 and have been in partnership since that time. We have recently hired 2012 UW Law School graduate Kyle Ridgeway, an outstanding young man with his heart in the right place.  I am currently a member of the Wyoming State Bar Association, the Wyoming Trial Lawyer’s Association (past President 2007-2008), the American Trial Lawyers Association, and am a past president of the Casper Country Club. I am a current member of Wealth Counsel and Elder Counsel, organizations dedicated to helping families plan proactively and manage their lives in crisis.
