Mark W. Gifford practices in Casper, Wyoming with the firm of Gifford and Brinkerhoff.
After 30 years of litigation experience, Mark’s practice now focuses on alternative dispute resolution including mediation and arbitration of civil disputes. He has mediated over 1,000 disputes encompassing a wide range of matters, involving personal injury, professional liability, commercial, oil and gas, and other disputes. Mark also currently serves as Counsel for the Wyoming State Bar. He received his BS in Accounting with honors from the University of Wyoming , his JD from Stanford University and completed his mediation training from CDR Associates in Boulder, Colorado. Mark is generous with his time and expertise and has served on the Permanent Rules Advisory Committee, Appellate Division from 1992-1997, the Judicial Nominating Commission from 2003-2007, the Disciplinary counsel for the Commission on Judicial Conduct and Ethics and the WTLA Board from 1998-2002. He is a member of the National Organization of Bar Counsel and is listed in Best Lawyers in America and Mountain States Super Lawyers. Mark has held a Martindale-Hubbell “av” rating – the highest level attainable – since 1990.
