This CLE will focus on litigation of an employment discrimination /retaliation case which generally involves proving a pretextual termination from employment and/or disparate discipline as well as guarding against various defenses such as the after acquired evidence rule, judicial estoppel, failure to mitigate etc. It will also include a discussion of discovery issues unique to employment cases and involving the breath of discovery of medical and financial records.
About Your Speaker
Ms. Rose is a owner of The Rose Law Firm, P.C.. She has practiced law for 33 years after graduating from the University of Wyoming School of Law in 1981. Upon graduating, Ms. Rose served as a law clerk to the Honorable James E. Barrett, Justice of the United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and then entered into private practice. Over her 33 years of private practice she has been engaged in a wide variety of legal matters involving wrongful discharge, discrimination, fair labor standards and other employment law issues, personal injury, workers compensation, property rights, water and ditch rights, commercial, construction and industrial litigation. Ms. Rose is currently contracted with the Office of Administrative Hearings to act as a Hearing Officer in Workers Compensation matters.
