2017 Legislative Session – Summary of Legislation Affecting the Legal System

This year the WTLA legislative team evaluated the almost 500 bills filed and actively tracked, monitored and lobbied more than seventy.  We also provided assistance to lawmakers who requested help with bills they sponsored, or had questions about.

Often WTLA is the only voice advocating for Wyoming workers and families during the legislative session.  We were there this year for your clients in the civil arena, on criminal justice issues, family law and for your practice opposing sales tax on legal services.

This  summary will give you an idea of the types of legislation considered, the action taken and the outcome.  For more information, go to the Wyoming Legislature website.  For a complete list of bills filed during the 2017 session, click here.
